AG Mini's

American Girl Mini's... Or AG Mini's... this was a line of miniatures put out by the American Girl company. from what I can gather, the pieces were to small for children.. so it might have been part of the reason they discontinued the line. The AG Mini's were really awesome, they featured a more retro or modern feel to them. All of which I love !  They also came with a box or room to display them. The box or room could light up, had walls that you could change easily becuase they attached with magnets, windows as well. Each room came with furniture, walls, windows, accesories, everything you need to complete your room basically. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a complete set... The Groovy Room... for less then $20.00 ! I also stumbled upon the loft furniture set, and wall aquarium that lights up and comes with extras... If you find them Grab them up ! They are getting harder and harder to come by...

Re-ment Miniatures

Re-ment are miniatures from Japan. They are considered " Playscale" which is slightly larger then the one inch dollhouse scale. Playscale fits more along the lines of fashion doll size. But many of the playscale re-ment minis fit well into the standard dollhouse scale or size. I have collected quite a few of the re-ment miniatures, here are a few I really like...

My Miniature Habit

My miniature habit started long ago when I was about 4years old. Our local museum had a victorian dollhouse on display. it featured working lights, windows and doors... I was hooked! I couldn't stop staring at this miniature marvel before me.  Of course I had my fair share of dollhouses growing up... From one I could actually fit inside of, to the metal one's from the seventies.. and finally a wooden dollhouse I bought with my own money at the flea market. Now as an adult, I can endulge my addiction and collection of miniatures on a much larger scale!
With so many styles of dollhouse out there, the one that really does it for me are the modern styled dollhouses and all the amazing modern miniatures that fill them! I am always taken a back by the talented artists that create these mini works of art... and from time to time I give it try... even if they don't turn out so great I love them!
